Maria has been managing condominium corporations for 20 years. She graduated from the Residential Property Management course at George Brown College in 1982. Maria worked for a large management company in Toronto until she moved to Guelph in 1984. Maria managed a mixed portfolio of commercial and industrial condominiums for a local development/property management company in Guelph until 1992.
In 1992 she decided to start her own property management business, hence incorporated M.F. Property Management Ltd in 1994. M.F. Property Management currently has a staff of thirteen and manages 57 condominium corporations in Guelph, Cambridge and Kitchener, as well as a life lease property in Guelph and the University of Guelph Research Park Centre. Consulting services are also provided to builders. Her firm is ACMO2000 certified and won the 2003 Guelph Quality Award for the Service sector (small business).
Maria has been a Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) since 1989, and has served on the ACMO Board of Directors for 3 years. She is still involved in the Regional and Communication Committees. Maria has been an active CCI Golden Horseshoe member since 1994. Throughout her career, she has written articles for condominium magazines and local papers and has participated in a number for condominium related seminars as a moderator and speaker for ACMO, CCI and the Guelph Real Estate Board.
Maria was acclaimed to the GHC Board on October 9, 2003 and her experience and dedication is welcomed by all directors.
