Don Bassindale

Don was elected to the GHC board of directors in September 2005.  He has been a member of the CCI for many years and has attended numerous events and courses. He brings a wealth of experience to the board, as can be seen in his bio below.

Don’s real estate career started in 1993 with RE/MAX. He is currently an Associate Broker with RE/MAX Aboutowne Realty Corp.  He has enjoyed helping people buy and sell their first home, to buying the home in which to enjoy their retirement; from the condo of their dreams to the executive home of their personal goals.  He has assisted many investors with the sale, purchase and rental of their various investment properties.  However, his real estate career does not start and stop with the assisting of buying and selling homes. 

While helping people find the home of their dreams, he is working with the Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore and the Chamber of Commerce of both Oakville and Burlington to help ensure the strength of the community in which his Clients choose to live.  He believes that it is also important to work to ensure the professionalism of the Real Estate Industry and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board and the Chair of the Education Committee and a member of the Professional Standards Committee for the Board.

Don also believes that it is important to be a vital part of his family’s life.  He has served as an Elder in their church and a member of the Board of Finance and Maintenance.  To relax from the business aspect of his life in the spring and summer months he can be found as a coach of his son’s baseball team.
